Ali is from Mount Prospect, one of the northwest suburbs of Chicago. He has remained in Chicago for all of the schooling and training which was completed at Northwestern. Of note, he was born at Saint Joseph Hospital.

Ali was drawn to the field of interventional radiology because of the creativity that can be applied to nearly every procedure. He has an interest in palliative IR.

Ali’s interests include eating Italian food, working out, and reading about biotechnology companies.
