JACK LYONS, MD

Dr. Lyons has over twenty years of experience in the practice of radiology. After clinical training in General Surgery residency at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, he moved back to Chicago and completed Diagnostic Radiology residency and both Body Imaging and Nuclear Medicine Fellowships at Rush University Medical Center. He has served in leadership roles for Midwest Imaging Professionals – Radiology Partners and it’s ancestral entities and partners over the course of his career, including Medical Staff President of Saint Joseph Hospital and Local Practice Board Representative for MIP-RP.

Dr. Lyons’ practice philosophy and passion has always centered on care and service with integrity. Optimal care and appropriate utilization of medical imaging requires the collaboration of the radiologist, clinical physicians, and most importantly, the patient. Knowledge and skill in application and interpretation of most of the various imaging modalities along with his strong clinical background allows him to integrate information and technology to optimize service and care to hospital, doctors, and patients.

Dr. Lyons balances work and private life through avid study of history and literature, engaging in outdoor activities including motorcycle riding and beekeeping, and most importantly spending quality time with his family including his wife and their three college-age children at home and abroad.
