Dr. Karan Gulaya obtained his medical degree at Tulane University School of Medicine in New Orleans. His training includes an internal medicine internship at NYU Medical Center in New York and a diagnostic radiology residency at Northwestern University in Chicago. After residency, he completed a fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Northwestern.

His areas of interest include interventional oncology, hepatobiliary interventions, and venous disease (chronic lower extremity and pelvic venous insufficiency, deep venous thrombosis, and pulmonary embolism). He is excited about offering patients new, minimally invasive techniques with decreased recovery time, pain, and risk for medical conditions that might otherwise require conventional surgery.

Dr. Gulaya speaks fluent Spanish, Italian, and Hindi. Outside of work, he enjoys scuba diving, hiking, and traveling.
