As a long-time Midwesterner, having grown up and subsequently completed his medical school and residency in the Detroit-metro area at Wayne State Medical School and William Beaumont Hospital, respectively, Dr. Bernbeck feels right at home in Chicago following a brief stint at Stanford for his pediatric radiology fellowship.

He almost considered becoming a pediatrician, but found he preferred the puzzle solving challenges of radiology to well child visits, but is very happy to still get to work with the pediatric age group. Dr. Bernbeck enjoys being part of a team of clinicians and tries his utmost to give useful information to help those clinicians arrive at diagnoses and give the best care to their patients.

Dr. Bernbeck is passionate about travel, nature and the outdoors, endurance sports and spending quality time with friends and family.
