A native of the Pittsburgh, PA area, Dr. Skezas received his medical degree at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine in 1987 and completed his residency in Diagnostic Radiology at Chicago’s Cook County Hospital in 1991. After finishing a fellowship in Body Imaging at Rush-Presbyterian-St. Luke’s Medical Center, he began his radiology practice at Saint Joseph Hospital in July 1992. The practice has changed over the subsequent years, having been affiliated with many other hospitals and imaging centers in Illinois.

Although Dr. Skezas has worked as a general radiologist throughout his career, his recent focus has been with breast imaging, with extensive experience in mammography, breast ultrasound and MRI and percutaneous needle biopsies. He is the current section chief for Breast Imaging in Midwest Imaging Professionals, Radiology Partners.

Outside interests include exercise, travel, violin, history and antique photography.
