Dr. Talal Akhter obtained his medical degree in Ohio before moving to Philadelphia for his radiology residency. During these four years, Dr. Akhter developed a passion for interventional radiology as he was able to offer extensive diagnostic and clinical service to his patients. Dr. Akhter returned to the Midwest to complete his fellowship in Vascular and Interventional Radiology at Indiana University before moving to Chicago, Illinois.

As an interventional radiologist, Dr. Akhter is passionate about the innovation the field offers and is excited to provide minimally invasive treatment options to improve the lives of his patients. He is well-versed in all facets of interventional radiology and is particularly passionate about treating vascular disease (pulmonary embolism, chronic venous insufficiency) and interventional oncology.

In his free time, Dr. Akhter enjoys hiking, traveling, and videography.
