A native of the south suburbs of Chicago, Dr. van Beek returned to the city to attend medical school at Northwestern University’s Feinberg School of Medicine. During his education, Dr. van Beek was drawn to radiology by the opportunity to help diagnose and treat patients across all disciplines of medicine. He subsequently completed a diagnostic radiology residency at the University of Chicago, followed by a fellowship in interventional radiology at Washington University in St. Louis.

Dr. van Beek is well-versed in all aspects of interventional radiology but has a particular interest in venous thrombo-embolic disease, women’s health (uterine fibroids and pelvic congestion syndrome), and minimally invasive oncology treatments. He is excited to offer patients new, less-invasive treatment options for complex medical conditions using the latest technology and techniques.

In his free time, Dr. van Beek is an avid golfer and photographer.
